Hampshire County Council is leading a significant three year programme with partners to turn around the lives of at least 1,600 Hampshire families with multiple complex and persistent issues including unemployment, poor school attendance, involvement in crime and anti-social behaviour.
The programme’s long term aim is for Hampshire’s public sector agencies to work more effectively together in new ways, to make lasting positive changes to the lives of the families and communities across Hampshire.
Families can expect a dedicated point of contact, agencies working in a better coordinated and joined up way supporting the whole familiy and a single plan for each family that will clearly set out what the lead agency will do and what the family will do.
The aim of a family plan is to:
- Help improve parenting
- Get children back into school
- Help manage relationship conflicts
- Provide specialist help for parents to find work
- Join up help and support from all agencies involved.
