Thief steals TV from house

Police in Gosport are appealing for information after a house had its window smashed and another was burgled.

In the first incident, someone smashed the window of a woman’s house in Coventry Court, Rowner.  They searched the house but nothing appears to have been stolen.  This happened between 4pm and 8.30pm on Wednesday, November 30.

Anyone with information should contact PC Philip Hall at Fareham police station.

In a separate incident, someone stole a 37-inch Panasonic LCD television from a house in Herbert Road.

It is not known how they got into the house, but they left through the back door and garden gate.  It happened between 10am and 3.20pm on Friday.

PC Nicki Wisdom, from Gosport police station, said: ‘This is a rare occurrence for a quiet road in Gosport.  The incident has taken place during the day when there could have been many people around.  If anyone has seen anyone acting suspiciously in or around the area please contact the police.’

Both police officers can be contacted by calling 101.  Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
