Driver was more than twice the legal limit

Drink driver Steven Mitchell has been banned from the roads.

Mitchell admitted driving a Peugeot in Williams Close, Gosport, while more than twice the legal alcohol limit on November 5.

A test revealed the 25-year-old’s breath contained 79 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 35mg.

Mitchell, also from Williams Close, Gosport, was fined £100 and told to pay £15 to a fund for victims of crime by Fareham magistrates.  He was given a 16-month driving ban, which could be reduced by four months if he pays to complete a government-approved driving course.
