Drink driver is caught out

Drink driver John Newton has been banned from getting behind the wheel.

Newton, 55, of Gorselands Way, Gosport, admitted driving a Peugeot Expert in Richmond Road, Lee-on-the-Solent, after drinking too much on October 29.

A test revealed his breath contained 65 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 35mcg.

Newton was banned from driving for three years by Fareham magistrates.  He was also fined £100 and told to pay £15 to a fund for crime victims and £85 costs.
