British Red Cross research highlights increase in loneliness due to pandemic

A report published by the British Red Cross ‘Lonely and left Behind’ has found the pandemic has increased isolation, financial insecurity which has increased feelings of loneliness.  39% of UK adults surveyed said they hadn’t had a meaningful conversation in a fortnight, with two in five people saying loneliness was having a negative impact on their mental health.
