Authorities join forces to tackle graffiti at Ann’s Hill Cemetery

One of the Borough’s Cemetery’s has been subject to a second attack of vandalism near the Wilmott Lane entrance of the plot.  The local community rallied together to clean gravestones before specialist cleaners were called in by Gosport Council.

Chief inspector Mark Lewis, district commander for Fareham and Gosport, thanked local residents for their community action and said: ‘These incidents are shocking, and we share the anger, frustration and upset which will be felt by the victims, as well as the wider community’ and encouraged residents to avoid cleaning any future incidents straight away ‘If you have any information about who may be behind these incidents, please report this to police in the first instance.
