On Saturday 20th February at 1pm, almost 150 residents took part on a virtual Participatory Budgeting event and decided on how £16,000 should be spent on local projects for Bridgemary.
Participants watched eighteen short videos from projects all bidding for a share of the cash, ranging from walking groups, community garden, sports provision, family support and much more! After wacthing each video clip, participants scored each project from 1-5 depending on how worthwhile they felt the project was.
Winners were announced after all videos were watched and voted on – the successful projects were:
- Marvels and Meltdowns
- Brave Heart
- Crisis Food Gosport
- Bridgemary Young Family Help
